'Sympathy is no substitute for action'
In 1990 after 10 years of civil strife the Trust was invited by President Violeta Chamorro, President of Nicaragua, to support the programme of reconstruction and reconciliation.
Five Hoverdoctor expeditions to the headwaters of the worlds greatest rivers, including the Amazon and Yangtze, culminated in the crossing of Nicaragua.
• The Trust has a support programme for the families who live near the Bluefields rubbish tip and rock breaking communities.
• Providing solar and wind energy innovations, that gives energy to those who will never be connected to mains electricity.
• For young people; the Trust provides vocational training and educational scholarships.
• For fisherman denied access to an income, rice mills have been provided as an alternative means of support.
• Support for model farming to encourage self-sufficiency, including an Eco Training Facility.
We warmly invite your interest and your participation as we accept further challenges to reach those most in need.
